As a registered dietitian nutritionist, I have completed under-graduate and graduate education and training established by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics. While any person may call themselves a nutritionist, all RDNs must:
Obtain a master's degree in food and nutrition with specially designed, accredited nutrition curriculum.
Complete a 1200-hour extensive supervised program of practice at a health care facility, foodservice organization or community agency.
Pass a national registration exam.
Maintain continuing education credits for re-certification.
Obtain licensure annually with Idaho Board of Medicine and certification with Washington State.

The driving force behind Palouse Nutrition is connecting my love for food with others. One of my favorite jobs as a dietitian nutritionist has been providing nutrition counseling and education to college students. Being able to provide individual counseling at such as a pivotal time, when nutritional habits are just being created, is truly a dream. I have also worked as a clinical dietitian in a hospital, with experience working with acute disease. Currently, I also am a consultant dietitian in long-term care.
I love speaking about food and nutrition, but I also love listening and creating a plan together than fits YOU. I can't wait to connect with you.
